Yoga and Mindfulness

Yoga – to unite, yolk, bring into union.  On your mat, it’s moving in synchronicity with your breath.  Yoga is a practice, it’s not a goal oriented sport.  Or a competition. Yoga will bring you nowhere.  And yet, it will open up everything for you.

Once your body becomes attuned to a new vibration, linking breath and movement, other parts of yourself become activated.  Your mind begins observing thoughts; inquiring their validity.  Shifting views, noticing your feelings, questioning beliefs, and adjusting the way you function in this life.

Peeling back the layers of who you are is a life-long practice.  From my personal experience, it starts on the mat and travels inward from there.  And, my personal belief is that every single physical dis-ease in the body is born from an emotional imbalance.  Therefore, in order to go inward, we must start with movement.

Our energy body is running the show we call our life.  However, layers and layers of years of ancestral patterning, societal beliefs, and life experience creates stagnation and brings us away from that “inner state of peace”.

So we work with all layers of who we are – shifting and growing – until we re-member who we are.  Thank God it’s a practice.
