Our last trip was not a trip of a lifetime, it was the first of many. After our trip to Kenya Africa, immersed in the wildlife and conservation work of Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, I have decided to dedicate one trip a year to this organization. They touched my heart and soul with their work and humble but mighty work.

Unique Indeed: 

Part of the work the Sheldrick does is based on park preservation, and animal rescue and reintegration. Included in your retreat cost, is the opportunity to adopt an elephant from their Voi Reintegration Unit. Leading up to the retreat, you will  receive a personalized adoption certificate or an elephant of your choice, access to unique content, the latest Keepers' Diaries, videos and photos, and monthly email updates on your orphan and the project.  And then, when you arrive Tsavo East, you will be able to visit the Elephant Reintegration Units, meet your adopted elephant and learn more about the project first-hand. This was a huge part of our experience and makes me want to go back again and again.

Nutritious Meals 

Safari Catering Co. personally designs all the menus.  The food is nutritious and plentiful: breakfast, game drive lunches, dinner on the river, and sundowners.

Loose Itinerary

Since we are literally in Tsavo Park, most of our day will be spent on safaris, wildlife viewing, and exploring the park. Each day will be different but it could include game drives, enjoying a bush breakfast, watching the sunset, or visiting the Elephant Reintegration Unit, where you can meet your adopted Elephant!

We have lunch in the camp and rest after a long, luxurious morning of exploring! You will have time to yourself to rejuvenate, connect with others, swim in the pool, or treat yourself to a massage. Our afternoon yoga will be restorative and relaxing.

The conservation-focused properties we stay in Tsavo East National Park, operated by Sheldrick Trust, ensure that all proceeds from our stay directly contribute to wildlife preservation and support various projects within Tsavo.

RETREAT CANCELLATION POLICY:

All retreats are non-refundable once purchased unless the retreat is cancelled by the property and another venue is not provided. The following is our cancellation policy:

For all retreats, if force majeure (e.g. pandemic, natural disasters, travel restrictions, etc.) causes a retreat to be canceled, we will offer a rescheduled date for the retreat. In this case, we will not refund payments when it is due to causes beyond our control. If the rescheduled retreat date does not work for you, full or partial credit (not a refund) towards another one of our retreats at any destination may be possible.

If you need to cancel, refunds are not offered unless you find someone to take your spot or we fill the spot. We may need to refund you minus any administrative fees incurred in filling your spot.

A minimum $1,000 processing fee will be accessed for all cancellations. 

We cannot reimburse any travel costs associated with your stay. For this, we recommend travel insurance.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Any credits expire one year after your original arrival date. Refunds or credits will not be given after that time.

There are no refunds or discounts given for arriving late or early departure or for guests who choose not to partake in meals or events..

Dana Damara Evolution is not responsible for any travel expenses related to attending one of our retreats.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Please consider travel insurance to protect the investment in your vacation plans. Travel (or trip) insurance is available from several companies. We recommend that you carefully review their policies as many provide different levels of protection.
