EVOLUTION through movement

Welcome to The Embodied Practice

At The Embodied Practice, we believe evolution is a lifelong journey — a journey fueled by movement, community, and conscious growth. Our programs are designed for anyone ready to step into a fuller, more aligned life — whether you aspire to teach or simply want to live with intention.

Through our Yoga Teacher Trainings (200hr & 300hr), Apprentice and Train-the-Trainer programs, and Breathwork & Sound Healing trainings, we empower students to:

  • Move deeply — cultivating strength, presence, and embodied awareness.

  • Connect with community — learning and growing alongside like-minded individuals.

  • Evolve continuously — embracing transformation as a natural, joyful part of life.

  • Live purposefully — using these modalities to align with your deepest intentions, your own unique path, and the life you want to create.

At The Embodied Practice, you don’t have to be a teacher to benefit. You only need a willingness to explore, grow, and align your life with your truest self. Every class, every training, and every experience is an invitation to evolve — physically, emotionally, and spiritually — in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.

Join us and embody your evolution.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR APPRENTICE ALL YEAR

25 years of sharing this practice of yoga … Dana Damara has led over

(55) 200 hour yoga teacher trainings ~ in 5 different states ~ and certified over 1,000 yoga teachers

When COVID-19 stopped her last in person training in 2019, Dana and her team moved everything to an online format. If it’s one thing yoga teaches us, it’s that nothing is permanent. We learn to go with the flow of life, instead of trying to “push the river.”

Her passion for yoga started in Vancouver, Washington when she owned and operated Satsang Yoga.

“Yoga was a way for me to calm a restless heart and heal a traumatic past. Most everyone comes to yoga when they are “hurt” either physically, mentally, emotionally, or could use a dose of community. Yoga has been my life for as long as I can remember because before yoga, life was a bit blurry.” - Dana Damara

Everything starts somewhere. This training started as a little, 200-page, three ringed binder, training back in 2001. It has since evolved into:

• A 400-page manual with contributions from other teachers
• A complete 200-Hour TT Certification (RYT-200)
• Recorded online content
• Live-stream capabilities for global connection

Not only that but the 200-hour (step 1) evolved and opened opportunities for continuing education for teachers, healers, and mystics via the www.danadamaraevolution.com portal. If you are a 200-hour teacher, you have only just begun this journey, and our 300/500-hour advanced curriculum hosts:

• Yoga Alliance Approved continuing education courses (YACEP)
• A complete 300-Hour Advanced TT Certification (RYT-300)
• Online workshops ANYONE can take anytime to deepen your learning.
• Apprenticeship programs for those who want to be a yoga teacher trainer (ERYT-200/ERYT-300))

”I’m about empowerment. My passion is giving YOU the space to own your gifts and use them in your life. I’ve done that both inside and outside the yoga room for years. And now, we are able to do it online for global learning. How blessed are we? ”
