WHY SHOULD I TAKE A 300-HOUR TRAINING? WHAT’S THE POINT?
The art and science of yoga is something that you can embark upon and never complete in this lifetime. There is so much education, so much rich content that you could learn your entire life and not scratch the surface. From a financial perspective, the more education you have, the more marketable you are. Most studios require at the very minimum, 500 total hours of training in order to teach. In fact, most studios have their own 200- and 300-hour training that they want you to take in order to teach at their facility. A 300RYT certification demonstrates that you have taken it to the next level. You’ve taken the time with your studies to delve deeply not only into the rich history, art and science of yoga, but deeper into yourself as well. But beyond that … the more you learn in yoga, the more aware you become in life. So why not continue to educate, awaken and bring yourself to a place that is most in alignment with your soul that you have ever experienced. Not only that but if the truth is that we are ever evolving beings. So if that is true then how could we stop our learning process … the process of learning about ourselves… ever..
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR A 300RYT?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 300-HOUR AND A 500-HOUR?
The 300-hour covers material beyond an established 200 hour program. A 300-hour program is highly recommended to anyone interested in taking on the role of yoga professional. The 200-hour covers the basics and is enough to teach however, the 300-hour is most recognizable to professional yoga studios. A 500 hour training is a training that covers the 200 hour in basics AND 300 more hours. Again, it’s advantageous to continue your education so taking training hours to the maximum level is always recommended. You would take a 500 hour if you wanted to get sufficient training done at one time, with one teacher. However, mostly now what you see is a 200 and 300 hour program only. Also, you would take a 500 hour if you were certain that you wanted to study with the same instructor for both your basics and advanced study. Be advised that you can take your 200 hour AND your 300 hour studies over and over again with many teachers, providing you with a rich experience and undoubtedly an expansive wealth of knowledge.
CAN I TAKE THIS PROGRAM IF I AM NOT 200-HOUR CERTIFIED?
You could take portions of it, you could take the entire thing. However, you cannot get your official 500 hour program certificate if you do not have your 200 hour. So if you want the knowledge, great! Just know that it would be for your education only.
HOW DO I KEEP TRACK OF MY HOURS?
You must keep a valid record of all your hours in the 300 hour program PLUS class attendance, observation and assisting.
